Targeting the Golden Layers

Gold generation depends entirely on where you are standing. Use this quick reference to set your mining depth:

• **Standard Biomes:** Target Y=-16. This is the peak of the underground batch.
• **Badlands/Mesa Biomes:** Target Y=32 to Y=79. Gold is everywhere here, but these mid-levels offer the easiest accessibility.
• **The Nether:** Gold is consistent throughout, but peaks at Y=15 alongside Ancient Debris.
