Redstone is the heart of every door, farm, and computer built in Minecraft. Thankfully, the game is generous with it. A single redstone ore block can drop up to 8 dust with Fortune III, meaning a single vein can provide an entire stack of power.

Mining Depth: Start at Y=15

Redstone generation begins at Y=15 and gets steadily denser as you go deeper. Like diamonds, its peak concentration is right at the bedrock layer (Y=-59).

If you are already mining for diamonds at Y=-57, you will naturally find more redstone than you can possibly carry. There is no need for a dedicated redstone mine once you reach the endgame.
