Mining underwater with touch controls is notoriously difficult, especially when you have 'Mining Fatigue'. We recommend using a door to create air pockets or bringing abundance of Water Breathing potions. On Bedrock, the Elder Guardian's 'ghostly' appearance can startle you—stay calm and focus on reaching the central gold chamber.

Located in the very center of the monument is a dark prismarine structure holding 8 blocks of gold. On Bedrock, this is one of the most rewarding early-game raids if you have the gear to survive the guardian's beams.
