The Watchtower of the Illagers
Pillager Outposts are the staging grounds for Illager patrols. These dark oak towers are filled with cross-bow wielding pillagers and are the primary source of the 'Bad Omen' effect.
Starting a Raid
Defeating the Pillager Captain (the one with the banner) grants you the Bad Omen status. Walking into a village with this effect will trigger a Raid, allowing you to earn the Hero of the Village discount.
The Allay Prison Cells
Check the dark oak cages outside! Outposts often contain trapped Allays or Iron Golems. Freeing them is not only morally right but provides you with valuable helpers for your item collection systems.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do pillagers stop spawning if I break the outpost?
No. Pillagers will continue to spawn indefinitely in the area around the original tower location, regardless of whether the structure still stands.
